RISING SUN BJJ ACADEMY

Founded in 2004, Rising Sun BJJ Academy has grown into a respected international organization that has developed into a professional athletic program and has multiple athletes that compete at jiu jitsu's highest levels.  Our team consists of IBJJF World Champions, World Master Champions, PAN American Champions, Pro Superfights and Brasileiro Champions.  From the beginning, our mission has been to share the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and other martial disciplines in a way that builds confidence, discipline, and resilience—on and off the mats.

We’ve become an integral part of the community by teaching proven self-defense techniques, hosting seminars, and providing a safe and challenging environment for kids, teens,  adults, police officers and military to train. Whether your goal is fitness, personal growth, or learning how to protect yourself, our academy offers programs that meet you where you are.

Competition is part of our DNA—but never a requirement. We believe stepping into competition is the ultimate way to pressure-test your skills: “Competition is the best form of cross training.” For those who choose this path, we provide advanced training for grappling, mixed martial arts, and cage fighting. For others, we focus on personal progress, fitness, and the joy of training.

At Rising Sun BJJ Academy, everyone rises together. Our instructors and students create a supportive, family-like environment where hard work and respect are the foundation of everything we do.
